This striking art print comes features a profile of a Black woman against a colorful orange, yellow and pink background with the word, "Persevere" in white. It was inspired by no less than Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. See below for the actual story.

Our beautiful silhouette is printed on 8 1/2 by 11 inch cardstock and comes with a white mat that measures 11 by 14 inches. You will need to provide your own frame, which should be the same size as the mat, but it can also be used without a frame, just displayed on shelf or on a metal easel, as we have shown in our photos.

As was said before, this design was inspired Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. During her Supreme Court confirmation hearing, she was asked what advice she would give to young people. She recalled how she had a “tough” time adjusting to Harvard University when she first arrived, having come from Miami as a public school student and being surrounded by many others who had a prep school background at the Ivy League school. As a freshman, she was walking on the campus one evening, feeling terribly lonely and out of place when a Black woman, a complete stranger, approached her. No conversation was necessary; the woman no doubt understood the challenges a young Ketanji was facing. She offered advice in the form of but one word: "Persevere". And so Ketanji did. She finished Harvard University, Harvard Law, and went on to a stellar career as law clerk, public defender, district court and federal appeals court judge. Despite all the challenges, she persevered.

Judge Brown Jackson is no doubt an incredible role model for girls and women of all ages and ethnicities.
