DetailsThis beautiful, vintage sculpture doubles as a vase. It was done by Lois Sattler and it was purchased at an art faire back in the 1980's. It features a woman's face on the front, with a shelll motif and is done in blue and white. It has Sattler's initials on the bottom, and what looks like the number 18. Not sure of the significance. While I could not find another of her art from this period, it does resemble one of her current sculptures that is available on a few different sites on-line. Her newer vases fetch about $625 a piece.
This vase/sculpture measures approximately 12 inches in height, 6 inches in width, and has an opening that is about 4 inches wide. It weighs at least 10 pounds.
